How to change this on/off function

Hi, first time here. I have a question about a controler? for some EL wire i bought.
The on/off button has three settings. first push is fast blinking. second push is slow blinking.
And the third is constant on.
Also, I want to power this device remotely and turn it on remotely in the constant on mode.
When i have it on and I take out a battery it goes off. but when i put the battery back in it is in the off mode.
Here is a picture. I'm not sure if I'm doing this right.
Thanks!

1) I guess we can assume that the switch is momentary.
2) You can try to reverse-engineer the circuit. Draw the schematic from the board and then, hopefully, find a better fix.
3) Another way which I don't like is create the 3 pulses to turn it on. A FET-Optocoupler across the switch MIGHT be able to do the switch interface.

Question

Could i just jumb the switch? And whatever else is keeping it from being on all the time?
I want it on all the time. That part at least.
I was thinking i could solder on jumper wires.

Well, I'll bet if you hold the switch and remove the battery it might still be OFF when the battery is inserted.

As I said, one of the first things to do is determine how the switch works. 2 pins? Momentary?

Next, would be to draw a schematic of the board. There is not a lot of parts, so it should be easy.
