How to make friquency counter circuit using PIC?

Trying to make friquency counter. If have any circuit or link please share with me including PIC, PIC writer/reader and program codes too. Need all help.
Give me some concepts too.

well if you have a PIC main board the rest is easy. Just use a timer to count the time between the pulses, and the rest can be displayed on a 7-segment display.
Do you have a PIC main board?

Why don't you just use google, or even the MicroChip application notes?.
