Ideas of Electronic projects you can design using Flip flops

I have an assignment where I'm to write on 20 various electronic projects that can be designed using flip flops. I need ideas, I've got about 10 I just need something simple, not too complex.

Read about Flip Flops. There are 3 types - Astable, Bi Stable, and Mono Stable. That should give you more than 20 ideas.

Putting it simply,
JK, D and SR flip flops are construction types.
Astable, Bi stable and Monostable are function types

If you know how a ladder diagram works, you can in theory built anything that can be programmed into a PLC.
