i'm in need of help with coil gun, high voltage

looking for any help i can get with control and charging boards. my power is coming from a 12v 7ah battery the capacitors are 4- 450v 9800uf

There might be one or two designs on the web.

do you know anything about using the 555 timer in the charging circuit

There are also forums specifically dedicated to this kind of project. Try the HV section of this forum, and be more specific.
