Installing Eagle on Ubuntu

I'm trying to instal Eagle; downloaded a ".run" file from tried to run it and got:
$ sh eagle-lin-5.2.0.run
Checksum error in 'eagle-lin-5.2.0.run'

Hm. I just tried and it worked fine for me. This is on Ubuntu 8.04.1.

How did you save the file to disc?

yeah i was going to day i had eagle on ubuntu 8.04.1. but i reinstalled windows. now i just have to wait the 17 days untill 8.10
