Anybody familiar with the PFC IC by International Rectifier?
it is an IC for power factor control in a rectifier circuit using one cycle control
I have problems in understanding how the control works. I know that there will be an integrator to have a variable ramp signal. Then the output ramp is compared with the error signal minus the inductor current, but how is that able to make sure that this type of control is able to give a unity power factor to the circuit?
I would like to understand more about this type of control.
