Hi, I have just purchased a BLOCK Iso transformer TIM100, 230v to SEC 2x115v. I stress I am a novice at electrical work, but despite getting adequate readings in on the Primary and readings out on the Secondary, I cannot get any power from the outlet mains lead socket. Could anyone tell me why all seems okay but I cannot get any joy from the output socket itself. All wiring seems to be okay on inspection? Driving me mad trying to figure this out?
The dots are polarity or phasing marks. Windings in series can add or subtract voltage, Windings in parallel increase curret, but should be from the same model transformer and must be the same voltage.
I paralleled three identical 1000W isolation transformers, in metal cases - only to find that while they may have been 'identical' it didn't mean that one of them wasn't internally wired out of phase
It not only took out the fuse, it took out the fuse holder as well!.
