that guy ray didn't like criticism very much either. his advice was usually questionable and when corrected would lash out like little kid

frankly, deliberately giving out bad advice is pretty immature. I don't think we should condone or reward that kind of behavior.

You should look at **broken link removed**. The Ron H there is, of course, yours truly. There were some other threads, on that forum and on this one, where we clashed.
Here he was known as Raybo, and lasted a few weeks, IIRC, before he was banned.

I always suspected you had a mistaken agenda! LOL! What the **** does that mean?

Very entertaining reading. This guy could use a dose of high school electronics know-how. Some people are just amazing.. geesh.

Yeah, and his profile there says he's an engineer. Scary, ain't it?

Engineer in what? There are sanitation engineers, sandwich artists, domestic specialists, etc. and basically they mean nothing more than janitor, deli worker, and housemaid. Maybe Ray is this kind of engineer:

I don't know, I've worked with more than a couple of Engineers where I've honestly wondered how in the hell they've managed to get where they are. How about a guy with a master's degree in Electronics who couldn't use an oscilloscope, for example.

Thankfully, I've worked with more good engineers than bad ones so my faith in Electronics education has not been dimmed quite yet!
