I want to install a simple rocker kill switch that will stop my vehicle from starting when the push-to-start button is pushed but still allows the remote starter to work.
I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Compustar alarm/security system (also has its own remote starter). This was installed professionally, and appears to have used a T harness (iDatastart CH12) to connect the ignition button to the alarm/security system. I am trying to determine where on the T harness I should put an inline switch that will still allow remote starter to work. Should this inline switch be on the wire directly connected via harness to the PTS button? Or elsewhere to fit my desired result?
