Hi, I'm new to this site and I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to start a project I've been thinking about. I'd like to slide this screen into a picture frame and use it as a tiny monitor attachment for my computer. I've been looking around and can't seem to find a lot of information about converting a ribbon cable from the screen to something that can be used with a computer. The power input for the screen is a two prong attachment. I'll upload some pictures of the screen, I;d really appreciate any help. **broken link removed**

So you want to take a digital picture frame and use it as a second monitor for your computer? Do I have that right?

It looks like you'll need an additional controller to drive that LCD. That ribbon cable isn't directly compatible with the monitor cable. (its probably something similar to this screen: https://www.electro-tech-online.com/custompdfs/2010/06/LQ10d368.pdf Pg 9).

You will also need a cold cathode florescent lamp driver to drive the backlight.

It's actually a mini DVD player screen but I was just thinking about putting it in a frame to hold it upright.
