Anyone happen to know what this component is?
It's wired to the line side of a led light bulb before the led panel inside the base of the bulb.
It has one brown band and two black bands.
Probably the bands had colors before it got too hot. So now we don't know what it was. Each color means something.
Probably the part is damaged and needs replacing.
Most likely something different broke first.
Not good news.
I think it was a 10 Ohm fusible resistor. Basically a fuse with a bit of resistance thrown in to reduce inrush currents and possibly help with filtering.
I guess that there is a flyback power supply that has gone wrong. They are really difficult to fix.
