rjenkinsgb Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Apr 4, 2021 #2 It's a tiny switched-mode power supply / regulator to provide a low voltage constant current drive to the original LED(s) in the lamp. Think of it as being a bit like the guts of a phone charger, though not exactly the same.
