Hi, I'm looking for a timer circuit that will charge a small cap with about 1.5 volts for about 5 seconds then discharge it to an output and repeat until turned off. Thanks

A Cmos 555 such as an LMC555 or a TLC555 will oscillate at any frequency you want with a minimum supply voltage of 1.5V. But if it is powered by a 1.5V battery the circuit will stop working when the battery voltage drops a little as it is used.

Use a 3V lithium coin cell battery or two 1.5V alkaline cells.

Thanks, you wouldn't by chance have a diagram to show how to do this? I know nothing about timers. Thanks
