Low cost shipping

Low Cost Shipping



From time to time I am one or two components short (transistors, diodes, switches etc.) for some circuit I am building. When I try to buy these online the price is fine, but the shipping may be five dollars or more so the components end up costing too much.

Can anyone suggest an online (or offline) company which has either free or low cost shipping and also has a reasonable minimum order.

I have bought components online at EBay, and that worked fine.

Digi-Key will ship small orders (8 oz. or less) by First Class Postal Service for $2.92.

Really, I thought DIgi-Key stopped using USPS. Another option is www.dipmicro.com not the best selection, but the prices are right and the shipping is cheap.

Yes Digikey uses USPS for small packages, but now Jameco also does this so check them out. Im not sure about international shipping, but within the US this holds true.

If you use Ebay, click on "Free Shipping" only.

I have bought almost all my components that way.

However, it sometimes takes 3 weeks to get here.
