Master I²C on a PIC16F690

Hey, me again,

As you may have heard, I got some sample parts from microchip and two of them are 24FC512 (64KByte EEPROM) and it requires a I²C serial interface to read and write to it.

The down side is that my 16F690 has a SSP and not a MSSP, but in the data sheet, it does say that it supports master mode... but since i've never used I²C before, I'd like a little help.

I have been googleing around and people are saying to use software I²C but apparently a guy has managed to use the hardware **broken link removed**
