Karbos New Member Oct 15, 2008 #1 From the schematic I am building a simple UART connectivity circuit, it requests a MAX232. After searching my box of stuff, I find a ST232CN which from my datasheet checking is the V+ is different. Anybody want to cross check me?

blueroomelectronics Well-Known Member Oct 15, 2008 #2 Its fine it's the TI version, just check the datasheet for the required capacitor value.
Karbos New Member Oct 15, 2008 #3 I believe that the ST232CN is a ST Microelectronics type I will use 1uf capacitors (because I already cut them out) and a 22uf bulk capacitor across pins 15 and 16.
