Meet Floppy

Quite likely, since there are many of the same parts. Search for 'Junkbot', or similar, and you should find robots built from all kinds of stuff lying around, like VCRs and tape players. Don't recall a CDROM specifically, but seems consistent. Floppy drives, VCRs and such aren't used as much these days, and have been replaced with better equipment, with higher capacities. All have motors and other things useful for building simple robots.

But what about the IDE pins, floppy has motor triggers on the 34pin IDE bus, would cdrom have similar motor triggers on the 40pin IDE?
