Ok i recently got some LED boards with some MIC5821 ics in them. They seem to use the ANODE power after a diode to feed the MIC5821 . The issue is the ANODE power is 12v... does that mean my clock/Data lines will need that voltage or can i still use a 5v micro to control? Attached are some relevant doc screen shots...

The "Input high" voltage needs to be within 1.5V of the positive supply, according to the data.
If VDD is 12V, you need 12V input levels or near enough so.

Can you modify the boards and reconnect the device VDD pin to 5V?
