mobile battery replacment

hi,
i am using nokia 2690 mobile with battery bl-4c(890 mah).
its backup time is smaller.
can i use a nokia bl-6c battery(1150 mah) for nokia 2690 to increase the backup time?

If the voltage is same then you can use it, I also tried fitting a more Ampere power battery, but I couldn't close the lid.....

It might not fit into 2690, because it's a little thicker than the 890mAh one.....
