Hello,

I need some help modifying my circuit, I got it from JAYCAR.

It is a circuit that can switch on/off with the voltage. Protecting my battery from extreme discharge. then turns on again when it reaches a set voltage. (This circuit has a jumper on LK1, this allows me to Turn the relay in opposites (on = off)

It triggers the moment my battery lowers down to 11.4v
Can someone tell me what I need to do to make it allow me to go below 11.4v for about minimum 2-3second without tripping the relay
IE, When I turn on a load and battery dips below 11.4

I was thinking a diode/capacitor combo on the exit of the LK1. (Input of the Q1)
please help.

kind regards.
Shaun

hi,
I would split the 10K that goes from the LK to that transistor into two resistors,

The resistor from the link, make it 8K2 and the other resistor 2K2.
At the junction of the two resistors, connect a high value capacitor to 0V, say a 200u up to 1000uF... choose the cap value to give the delay time
required.

You could also consider increasing the 100nF on pin 2 of the input comparator to say 10uF..[signal input]
