monitor reverse the screen

have built a tele promp like used in tv studio, and need to reverse the monitor screen ( computer), can anyone suggest the easy way,

swap the connections for the field coil around

If by reverse you mean swap left and right, just swap the wires to the horizontal coil of the deflection yoke.

Hi,

You would think there was an easy way wouldn't you.
We had a question like this before,
i dont think there was an easy answer.

If you are going to attack the deflection coil(s)
dont forget, the coils at top and bottom
do the deflection side to side.

And the coil(s) on the sides
do the deflection up and down.

Basic i know, but you dont want to get it wrong.
Also, fix it so as you can put it back easily,
maybe a switch or something, make it on short wires.

Or you could consider putting a mirror in there somewhere.
Or write your own dedicated fonts, some fonts can be used
as they are cos they are symetrical anyway.

Yeah, that would make a lot of sense. Particularly since that hacked monitor might always go on the blink when you need it. You'd need to always keep a second hacked monitor in storage and know where it is at all times. Software is preferrable to unique hardware. Certainly there's software to do it... it's not going to be flipping general applications and web browsers, just a particular teleprompter program, so the program should figure out how to do the flipping.

Is this monitor is going to be mounted on a camera, in the usual manner, ie; at 90 degrees to and below the lens, with the image reflected in a mirror that the camera is looking through?

If so, I would just reverse the coil leads on the monitor, since it's not likely you will be moving this monitor around, it's pretty much a permanent installation.

This seems the quickest and easiest solution.
