Hi, im looking to add both a monostable and an A stable into a circuit to make an LED flash on and off and then keep the LED on longer when an input is triggered but ive been told many different things.

What i need to know is do i:
Run the output of the monostable into the A stable input, then use the A stable output to power the LED.

Run the output of the monostable to the LED and make the A stable seperate to the rest of the circuit, wiring the output of that to the LED also. (2 sub-systems running to same LED)

Use the output of the monostable as the A stable -ve rail and then use the output of the A stable to power LED.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

A-stable means "not stable" or running all the time.
Mono stable means that you have to pulse it to get it started (and it will then produce a pule) and then it does nothing until you pulse it again.
Now go over your thinking and write a new description of what you intend to do.
