Hey guys... Im working on controlling a fan using a temperature sensor...
I just need to know how to control the motor (theoretically one phase) using the pic18f.. I mean in hardware... what transistor do i use?.. i read somewhere that i SHOULD use a diode.. this true?

Is the motor running on 110 or 220VAC?
