MP3 Player PC downloader

I am building a Pic 18F4450, MMC based Mp3 player with built in UBS.

I need Computer software to format and download files into the player.

What is there out there?
Is there one that would work on both PC and Mac?

MMC Memory formats?

Hi, I saw another player that emulated a Mass Storage device on a pc. I think this would work the best.
I am planing to use the 18F4450 that has built in USB 2.0. Pc with '98se, and a Mac OS 9.0

What will it take to make this work?
