MPLAB IDE PIC programming instructions?

Hello, all!

I just got MPLAB IDE v. 8.60 for my computer, but I'm having a little trouble getting started. I found instructions for an earlier version, but some of it is different from v. 8.60, namely for part of the "project wizard". Could anyone point me toward the instructions for this particular version?

I just started with MPLAB as well. Even though the example MCU isn't the same as the one I'm using, I found this guide to be useful for getting MPLAB configured:

The problem was finding the templates. The path wasn't the same (some of the folders were labeled differently), so it was difficult to find the right ones.
