I'm a fencer who's starting out in the hair-pulling hobby of armoury. A wire broke off of one of my weapons, and I'd like to know where to get more of it in bulk (like a spool of it or so).
Most fencing places sell wire, but only in individual pieces at an inflated price.

It's around 30 gauge. It has some red-cotton wrap around the wire inside, too. **broken link removed**

I'm just looking for a reputable dealer to buy from. Any help would be appreciated! :)

Why not use ordinary enamelled copper wire?

The cotton is needed to soak up the adhesive when re-lining it into the blade.
The whys aren't necessary, just the wheres.

Test probe wire has similar construction. The woven braid makes it more flexible. I can't find any useful pics.

Possibly:

You might even consider some cotton braided wire. **broken link removed**

There are plenty of hits on google for 'cotton covered wire'.
