search for FM transmitter and receiver .
but you haven't specified your location, required range , maximum cost of the ckt .

There are many circuits out there that can do this. Even cheap FM transmitter receiver "walkie talkies" could be used in this application. I saw a pair for less than $10 at Walmart.

If the two homes use the same power company, you can use the power company wires. Your transmitter can be low frequency (100kHz) and you don't have to worry about illegal power level. Do a Google search for "power line intercom".

If you use the power lines and are not on the same transformer you might need caps to bridge the signal at the transformer. And you want to be close.

I think location should be required to register.
