Need help with pin connections...

For a 5x7 Dot Matrix, i want it to display the Pound Sign (£)

How would i connect it??

Note: This is the character that will ALWAYS be displayed, and the dot matrix will never be turned off unless the whole circuit is turned off.

Since you have only a limited number of connections, you have to multiplex the display at a high frequency and use the persistence of vision to view the complete character. You can use a technique such as this.
