Hey guys, i need help making this project. Im going to use an ir beam to open and close a circuit (Switch), but i have no way of going about, can someone help me? Im new and i have some knowledge of electronics. I would need it so that when the beam is broken, the circuit is closed, and when the beam isnt broken, the circuit is open.

Sorry for double posting, but this might give u guys a better picture, all i need is to have the reciever release a constant pulse when the beam is broken, i will use a relay for the switch... can u guys help me get this done?

the design is pretty simple . use an modulated ir (use a 555 @ ~38KHz) and an IR receiver (commonly used in TVs named like TSOP). the received module gives out a low signal when it receives the IR .build the ckt around it.
