Need your advice

Hey everyone! I'm trying to find my way through building my own custom sewer camera for inspection of 3 inch pipes and above. I've got some basics somewhat figured out, but I'm looking for help in regards to a built in 512hz "sonde" transmitter that i would like to know if I'm able to build myself. Most sewer cameras have these installed on board. I have lots of other questions but this is my first post, so I'll keep it to the point. Grateful for any advice!

I suggest you buy what you need until you can articulate requirements

What kind of data is your Sonde transmitting? It is just a simple sine wave, a square wave signal or is the signal encoded with location, distance or depth data? What kind of encoding or modulation is used (AM/FM/PSK/PWM...). What signal strength is needed? What material are you using for the enclosure? What power source? How sensitive is your receiver?
