Hi, has anyone implemented a networking (any) protocol on a PIC ?

As I had mentioned in a my previous posts, I'm trying to send & receive data between PIC(s) wirelessly. The scene is abt 8/10 PICs doing an excahange at any given time. Hence I need to write a well defined protocol which would handle and correct all errors.

Another Observation: I was using an ASK Trans/Recr operating at 433MHZ and sent data to the PC from a PIC16F73. As soon as my cell rang, the PC screen was filled up with garbage and the program (in C) lost complete control. Can anyone suggest some measures..
