Hello. I am so basic when it comes to electrical diagnostics, so I’m looking for some help to fix this toaster oven that we have had for 20+ years. I was going to throw it away, because I thought it would be too much hassle to actually join a forum and look for help, but my mom encouraged me to try. I will include a picture of what I believe the problem is.
A component melted in this area, I removed the leftover stinky debris with my fingernail.
Can u tell me what component failed? What it’s purpose is? I want to replace it so we can bring it back to life.
