hi,
Im trying to do an electronics project for my course, where i've decided to involve sensors.
i got one of these motion/vibation sensors.

I connected an LED to it, but it alight and only turns off when i shake the sensor. is it possible to reverse this so that its off until i shake it.

ive looked into tilt switches but they dont operate in all orientation.

thanks

is there such a thing as a tilt switch where the contacts are in the centre rather than at the ends. i want the component to detect shaking, so when it passes the contacts it flashes an led

here is a quick drawing of what i mean...

thanks

My guess would be "no" as a tilt switch is exactly as the name describes; it detects a tilt, so the sensor would be at one end. But there is no reason you can't still use it, just have the sensor end slightly elevated.
