Not legal: URL's in Quote tags, NOPARSE Tag doesn't work

It's not. [] changed to parenthesis

I want to put a URL after the = sign in a quote tag. I can't.

what is the purpose of putting a url after the = in the quote? As far as i know you cannot put a url there.

You can put a post number and member number but no url:

Lets just say I wanted to quote "Some website"

I could say

Some text from website

or I could say from broken link removed

Some text from website

I'd rather do the former.

The "Some Website URL" would be a real link in underlined blue type.

I do see what you mean. There is no way to do what you want but there are many work a-rounds like you've shown.
