I got the P16Pro40 programmer and had all intentions on learning assembly. So i ordered a PIC programming book but without looking into it to deep i had ordered a Basic Programming book for PICs.
So now i am wondering if i can program in basic and compile it to a hex file and then use my P16Pro40 to program my PICs. What free basic compilers will work with the P16Pro40 and are there any one that are not usually free but someone knows of a site to download it for free?
