Guys,
I got 4 spare old cd rom drive and im looking for a controller.
Does anybody have a schematic diagram of controller (fff, rwd, play, stop, etc) that i can connect to a cd rom (removed from old pc), so that you can controll it like a normal Cd player or a like dj cd deck? I found one using PIC but the program is not availlable.
Thanks

search more. there are more than one using microcontroller. use atmegas AVR instead... there are codes for most of them but you should/could write your own. read the dataheets and examples and it should work just fine...

There are also various PIC versions, a 16F877 has enough power and I/O to do the job.
