PC-controlled SPC

hello there,

i have recently been given a project to do..

it involves,
constructing a pc-controlled statistical process control system that can be used to monitor the mass of components, analyse the manufacturing process and inform the operator of the process status through a lcd display.

i have a basic idea of what to do but would be very grateful to recieve any help at all on how to get started..

that sounds pretty difficult to do. Are you wanting to moniter how many components go by and display the numbers on a LCD.
