Hi,
Have got an assembler program for a 628 chip that builds, programs and runs in circiut ok.
I'm trying to run it on the more available 628A chips, which as far as I can see just needs the new Osc and Boren config words changing as well as the Pic statement. ( comparator not used )
When I build the 628A (with mplab 8.30) I get the following message -
"MPLINK 4.30.01, Linker
Error - section '.org_3' can not fit the absolute section. Section '.org_3' start=0x00000004, length=0x00000fe2 "
( org_1 eeprom x2100 , org _2 Start x0000 )
I have removed some text messages from the code and rebuilt and still got the same message but with ' length -x00000F6A '
Being as the 2K memory should allow to 0x0000FFF I'm a bit lost as to whats happening ??
Any help apprieciated,
Thanks
