Please Help Identify

This is a New style Mercedes Smart key, (not a key) fob. I'm needing to know where the programed info is stored. on the old style key fob it was easy to find but nothing is labeled on this one where you can simply look it up. any help would be much appreciated. by the way I'm transferring the chip from a broken fob to a new one.

The NXP microcontroller stores it in encrypted eeprom.
Electronics Forums get a lot of requests for help to find the code in keys and key fobs of luxury cars. I've never figured out why people don't ask how to find the code for a Chevy, Ford or Citroen or Honda. The luxury car keys and key fobs cost the same at a dealer for a luxury car as a they do for a mid-priced car. I'd assume that people who truly own luxury cars can better afford a key replacement than those who buy chevys and fords. Right? It seems to me that something nefarious is behind these requests because it is always a Mercedes, BMW, Audi or Land Rover "owner" that that needs key help.

Land Rover are notorious, as they use rechargeable batteries, which of course die after about as long as non-rechargeable ones. But the keys are sealed, and you can't change the battery.

As such there's an after market 'fob case' for replacing the batteries - you break the old one open, replace the battery, and fit it in a new case.

As for costs, as far as I'm aware, luxury brands as above are considerably more expensive for key fobs than cheaper brands - but they are all crazy prices (certainly Mercedes and Land Rover).
