audioguru Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Aug 15, 2006 #21 It looks like the LED will be fine at such a low current. The 1W resistor might be cooking. Diodes are very cheap now. I would use one to keep the LED and resistor cooler, then more current can be used to make the LED brighter.
