Hi,

I made up a pre amp using the TDA1524A chip[from a kit].

It worked OK but I found that when I turned the volume down to zero I occaisionally got a large 'spike' through the speakers. This did not happen every time the volume was zeroed.

I believe I may have read, since, that this type of circuit should have its own independant power supply[from the amp].

Can anyone throw any light on this problem?

Regards,

Beaty
