i want to know that why PMOS device is used as PUN
and NMOS as PDN ?

i have read a lot about this but none of the book is clearing my doubt??????????????

Pull-UP Network (PUN) and a Pull-Down Network (PDN)

The PUN (consisting of a single p-type transistor) connected to source, the PDN (consisting of a single n-type transistor) connected to ground.
