programmable multiple gate IC?

I am looking for an IC that is basically made up of logic gates that I can program to be AND gates OR gates... with multiple inputs and outputs, say 50 I/O pins. Does such a thing exist?

An FPGA is such a device. The older PEELs, PALs & GALs were similar too.

Alternatively you can use a CPLD.

In an old school, think TTL Cookbook, sort of way a parallel EEPROM might work. That would be limited to 15 inputs, 8 outputs.
