pwm project

please helf me i'm doing project on bidirectional speed controll of high rating dc machine using pwm,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I,m not getting how to do this one so if you have any idea please send me,,,,,,,,,,, usually the motor ratting is to be 220v,20.5amp, 3.7kw, 1500rpm

DC is fine(but not in all motors) but when its comes to AC motors its hard to do with simple hardware with a simple software.

Do you know how much price is a motor control card?Why is that?
