Hi all!
I’m using PIC 16F628A.

I have configured my RA5 as an input pin. I used a 4.7k pull up resistor & a switch for that.

Now do I have to turn on the MCLR in the fuse settings? Or can I ignore that?

Thanks

No, you'd turn it off with _MCLRE_OFF in the fuse settings.
