There are plenty of other jobs (mowing, pushing shopping carts, filling shopping carts with Uber eats orders, cashiers, waiter/waitreas, window washing, housekeeping, nursing assistant, dishwasher, various retail jobs, truck loader/unoader, Amazon order prep... the list goes on. The deal with Uber is that you can set your own hours and have no education while having a feeling of authority as you get to rate each customer's permanent record with a 0-5 Star rating. Authority and setting your own hours is practically like running your own business. The driver is a fricken entrepreneur - a master of his/her own universe.
