Hi,

Apologies if this is a common first question. I have a colleague who had an important system passed down to him as a PIC. He doesn't have the program or any documentation with it, but he has two unprocessed spares. He would like to copy them or back up the PIC.

Is that possible? And if so, how/what is the best way to do it?

If it's NOT read protected you simply read the PIC (and store the rersulting HEX file), then rewrite it to as many blank chips as you wish.

If it's read protected you can't do it, that's why it's protected.
