Reg alternative for PT2248 and PT2250

Hi,
I am working on a IR remote controllet application project. I have used PT2248 encoder in the remote and Pt 2250 for decoding at the receiver end. Please suggest a alternative for these two as its expensive and not a fast moving one in market.
