Hi all
I need some circuit capable to detect the line voltage, but I want to see the readout over the Internet. A friend needs to check the voltage fluctuations, at his office, from his greenhouse located in the country 25 miles away.
So the circuit should read the voltage, convert it to data and send it over the Internet (with IP addresses of course).
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

That is very easy :D, kidding though, all you need is a PIC based voltmeter that can communicate with the computer(through USB or other ports) and preferably a Java applet that can read the data and send it over the web.

Again happy to help you..:)

You can buy measurement boards, such as this, that communicate over the internet. You would need to add an isolated AC to DC interface (transformer/rectifier) if he wants to read AC mains voltage.
