Replacement for diode MBR0530 (LCD Bias Supply)

I'm building the following circuit to power up a densitron OLED module with SEPS525 driver.
Hence MBR0530 is not available here, can I use a general purpose diode like 1N4148 instead? Thanks

In any market where the tps61040 can be found, you should be able to find a small Schottky diode. Almost any small Schottky would be better than the 1N4148.

Due to its high forward voltage and slower speed a 1N4148 will suffer in efficiency. You don't mention your input voltage, or output power requirement. If you're already near the limits of the tps61040, then a 1N4148 will seal its fate.
